Foot grounders are a good alternative to wrist straps when personnel can’t be tied to a workbench. Operators who move around in the work area and who need to be grounded cannot wear a wrist strap that grounds them to a workbench with a coil cord. Foot grounders function exactly the same way as wrist straps by providing a ground path from the moisture layer on the wearer’s skin through the foot grounder to the grounded floor surface. We recommended that foot grounders be worn on both feet to ensure that one foot is always in contact with the floor or floor mat at all times. It is important that personnel are instructed in the proper use and maintenance of the foot grounders.
Construction:

• Meets the requirements of ANSI/ESD S-20.20, EIA 625, MIL-STD-1686, and MIL-HDBK-263
• 0.16mm thick, two layer laminated rubber sole. Inner layer anti-static Neoprene, outer back layer is conductive Neoprene
• 1cm wide, 45cm Nylon ribbon contains 8 electrically conductive yarn
• 20mm wide black loop material with return hook tip for quick and easy adjustment and operator comfort
• 1/4 watt, 1meg Ohm interior resistor

• Sole: Black conductive side: 10e3 – 10e5 Ohm
• Anti-static side: 10e8 – 10e9 Ohm
• Nylon fabric grounding tab: 10e3 – 10e5 Ohm

• 1meg resistor: 1 x 10e6 – 10e7 Ohm
